Symer s108g Review
The Syma s108g is a military style design based on the Cobra AH-64. This helicopter was released in 2011 and as found great favour amongst enthusiasts. When you look at the s108g the Apache look is very self-evident and I was struck by the detail that Syma puts into it's models.
The technology that Syma as put into this and all it's other models makes this company one of the leading model aircraft and in particular Helicopter manufacturers around. If you are looking for a realistic combat helicopter then the s108g must be on your list. It is without doubt one of the most realistic models of the combat chopper I have come across.
As with all these small R/C aircraft Syma as put great detail and workmanship into there finish and the s108g is no exception. This model is fully detailed and a very realistic model of a combat chopper. The livery of this chopper is extremely well done nothing as been left on the shelf.
Beginners as well as seasoned micro helicopter pilots will love the look and feel of this quality flying model. This is one of the best mini helicopters of the micro mini series by Syma.
As with all syma helicopters the syma s108g is based around gyro technology, which is why all, young or old will enjoy flying this small compact combat machine.
The s108g as a unique well crafted design, very robust and simple to fly.
The features of the syma s108g are:
In flight the s108g is easy to control and reacts instantly to movement of the controller, so take off and landing once mastered is no hit and miss affair. As with all the Syma range the transmitter is very simple to understand. It as two joysticks, one for up and down and one for left and you guest it right. There is also a trim control on the right of the transmitter, on and off switch and a channel switch. On the front is a compartment for the charging lead or as I said in the features this chopper can be charged by USB.
A good safety feature is double protection, which simply means, it will power of automatically when chocked. So learning to fly the syma s108g is a simple and enjoyable experience and is a good starting point, leading onto the larger Syma ranges.
Although as with most of the Syma range body parts are made of a very robust plastic, which makes the aircraft very strong.
Bumps and knocks are inevitable and as with all Syma's range, spare parts are readily available. All will have a lot of fun flying this little helicopter and it's led lights mean flying in the dark is great fun. I like the syma s108g both for it's looks, and it's simplicity in flight, a very good first time model helicopter.
